This trophy is about study and documentation of historic buildings andsettlements in India.We received a special mention in the year 2002 for the documentation of a church and in the year 2003 for the documentation of rajagopala thondaiman maaligai.

OUR LADY OF LOURDES CHURCH

I developed my skills on manual drafting and detailing. As the site was a church of gothic architecture.I gained knowledge on the history and evolution of gothic architecture and the master masons contribution.

This demanded exhaustive manual drafting and hard work to satisfy the enormous criteria set by the problem sheet.

The problem sheet of the year 2002 focused on the analysis and documentation of a building of pre independence era that clearly displays the skills of the local master mason and the usage of the local materials.

The site chosen for the study and documentation was the Lourdes church in tiruchirapalli.

MANNAR RAJAGOPALA THONDAIMAN MAALIGAI

The problem sheet of the year 2003 focused on the analysis and documentation of a building with indo-saracenic style of architecture.

It is to identify a building in which it should possess a combination of three styles ie. indosaracenic = combination of muslim,british and vernacular style of the place.

The site chosen for the study and documentation was the Rajagopala Thondaiman Maligai at Pudukottai,Tamil Nadu.
